Not been running much & not posted on Twitter much. I’m juggling lots at work & at home. No:1 son started a trade training scheme on Monday. He’s exhausted. No:2 son in a tizz as he fell short on his Higher Maths exam result. His career plan scuppered. He’s resitting this year.

We had summer last week. That’s it done. It’s gone. It’ll start getting dark soon, followed by 8 months of cold rain, then snow 😂

I’ve now missed all my running goals & targets, & my running streak from the 1st of January ended a couple of weeks ago 😢. Long story. That’s the way of it. But, I’m still here. Moving. Grateful. Blessed.

My sons had their Proms this week. All went well 😮‍💨

I cut through a customers phone cable this morning 🤦‍♂️ - discovered it was old cable, thank goodness 😬

Oldest son & his pals flew ✈️ to Belfast this morning - I’m worried 😧

Blood pressure v high on Monday. Got it lower now.

@SkiRunLift Your area sounds great. You have seasons ☀️ 🍃 🍂 🍁 ❄️ ⛄️. I’m 10 years away from retirement age. Pension doesn’t kick in until then. I have a small military pension that’ll start in 3 years. I’ll reduce my hours then. We all just gotta keep grinding on. Pushing that wheel.

@SkiRunLift My wife & I will leave. I’m keen, but my wife has lived here all her life. But even she is shocked at the speed of the deterioration. The place is going downhill. 1 - 2 yrs & we’ll be gone. Heading away from town to a village near the coast. I’d prefer 🇺🇸, but my wife won’t go.❤️

@SkiRunLift My local area has had protests recently. Females being assaulted & harassed. Illegal migrants being housed in hotels. Roaming the streets. Outside schools, gyms & bars. Some locals have had enough. Taking to the streets. Politicians blaming locals, &refuse to acknowledge concerns
