उपभोक्ता मामले, खाद्य और सार्वजनिक वितरण मंत्रालय ने खाद्य तेलों के लिए standard pack sizes का नियम लागू किया है.

अब 200 ml, 500 ml और 1,2,4 और 5 लीटर के पैक ही मिलेंगे.

पहले 750 ml, 900 ml से लेकर 2.5 या 3.5 लीटर के पैक मिलने लगे थे. हर ब्रांड अपने हिसाब से पैकिंग करने लगा था.

अलग‑अलग साइज के पैक से कीमतों की सही तुलना मुश्किल थी.

अब तय साइज के पैक से कीमतों की तुलना आसान हो जाएगी. इससे उपभोक्ताओं को फायदा होगा.

Bengaluru Road Accident: Bank Employee Killed in Motorcycle Collision

Bengaluru

A 27 year old woman lost her life after being struck by a speeding motorcycle while crossing Dr. Rajkumar Road in Rajajinagar on Monday afternoon.

The victim, identified as Yogeshwari, was employed with #HDFC Bank and resided in Kempegowda Layout of #Bengaluru. The accident occurred around 12:30 pm in front of the HDFC Bank branch, where she had stepped out for lunch with a colleague.

While her colleague paused to let the motorcycle pass, Yogeshwari misjudged the speed of the approaching vehicle and was hit with severe impact. She was rushed to Suguna Hospital with critical injuries but succumbed to heavy internal bleeding despite medical intervention. Her body was later shifted to Victoria Hospital for post-mortem examination.

The rider of the motorcycle, Deepan (22), also sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment.

The Rajajinagar Traffic Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident.
