Ontario cut hospital spending in its April budget by $120 million, despite an aging, growing population and a pandemic. Mr. Ford undermines the public hospital system & uses its weakened state to justify private delivery. We need a strong federal ally for public delivery.
CATARACT Story: after rejecting the 'up-sell' of $4-7000 she is told she can go with OHIP for $2200.00 and will have to wait up to 6 months. #Healthcare under @fordnation How is this accessible?
You know what "red tape" I miss? LTC facility inspections. That silly red-tape meant that in 2015, 2016 & 2017, most LTC had comprehensive reviews. In 2018, 1/2 did. In 2019, 9 of 626 LTC homes had a comprehensive inspection. Now, remind me, how did LTC fare during the pandemic?
Number of Ontario #LTC homes that have been inspected under @fordnation:

This is your reminder that every single day you open your eyes is a miracle.
Spending too much time worrying about the future & focusing on the things you can’t control will cause you to forget to look for magic in each day. No matter how mundane it may feel, never waste a day.
None of what the PC government has done was included in their June election platform. Indeed their tactics then were say as little as possible about their plans, keep Ford under wraps, and direct their nominees to avoid all-candidate meetings. https://t.co/qzRjX7etyB
The current land use planning legislative framework - Bills 23, 3, 109 & the outsized powers of the tribunal to override municipal planning decisions will not create more “affordable” houses. Nor will it lead to the type of housing “the gentle density” that is desperately needed.
Actually, you are not being fully transparent with your statement. Those fees pay for roads, sewers and water for the new houses. Passing those fees along to existing taxpayers is wholly unfair. Developers should pay. They are making the huge profits.
Government fees & charges add $116,900 to the cost of a typical home in the GTA. That’s about $800 on top of a monthly mortgage payment!
We are reducing & reining in runaway fees to help more Ontarians find a home they can actually afford.
This is truly frightening for anyone aware of the impacts of moving water between watersheds, not to mention possibly contravening international Great Lakes agreements. How can @fordnation get away with this? @MPPArnottWHH
Doug Ford wants to shift more of York Region’s sewage to Lake Ontario — a decision made the same day as Bill 23 that may break an international Great Lakes agreement AND forever destroy the health of 2 lakes that give us drinking water.

Not so fast Dough Boy, Feds have jurisdiction on climate issues and this fits the bill...once again Ford screws up but this time much bigger than license plates 🤣

I can’t imagine who would actually believe such nonsense, especially someone who thinks they can be a respected Prime Minister. @PierrePoilievre needs help with either his communications or his mental health.
Today we’re taking bold action to maintain and protect the Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark System, a natural sanctuary in our communities. Thank you to @RBGCanada, Councillor @TedMcMeekin, @ConservHalton, and all those who have been championing this initiative for the past 15 years!
