@BryanVanNorden Regularly have students forget basic instructions for assignments that were repeated multiple times in class on multiple days and in the course shell in the Canvas equivalent. They can't read, write, or do math.
@SwipeWright I'm not teaching at that level atm, but often my failing students will drop the class. So by the end, my average scores will go up, but the first two tests are usually in the 65-75 range. My RMP is in the tank, but I generally get favorable course evals from those who finish.
@ConceptualJames@EliotBeacon James, you're friends with Michael O'Fallon. Do you think he is more likely to fall for this than the average person?
Every group has people who will believe whatever their leaders tell them. You know this already, but what matters is what is true, not what idiots online say.
@realmikolson@TheStaad I mean absolutely no offense here, but I researched this recently. There may not be a dogmatic list, but they seem to coalesce around a handful of them
@jwsherrod Also, before you block me, I'm not a race essentialist, or a Christian Nationalist. I just have worked with enough black people to know this is how they are taught, and this is what they think. The community as a whole (with exceptions, obviously), blames whites for everything.
@jwsherrod Unfortunately, your daughter had better get used to this. Because she will probably hear it again if you live in an area with more than a few black people.
@BMcGrewvy Heck, I could even see a boy's Sunday School teacher posting that (although the thought of Talarico teaching Sunday School sends shivers down my spine).
@ConceptualJames Not sure that's true. Sure, maybe on Twitter, but Twitter doesn't represent real life. The people I talk to in real life respect what you have to say, and many of them, like me, regularly pray for you. You are an incredibly valuable voice, no matter what the groypers think.
