Fortunately, in a telephone call, Her Royal Highness Kemigisa, told me that H.H. Oyo left a young boy heir that will be introduced to the public at the right time.

H.H. Oyo worked well with the Central Government, thereby avoiding the mistake of trying to use the Cultural Institutions that were restored by the NRM to promote sectarianism. It would be good if all the Cultural leaders understood the importance of this.

I direct that H.H. Oyo be given an official burial and, for three days, all the flags fly at half-mast. The three days are: the day of the burial, the day before and the day after. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

3AM PRAYER

Our Redeemer, we are on our knees today because we need You in a special way.

Father, teach us how to pray. Teach us how to come before Your presence with the right heart, right words, and the right spirit.

Teach us not only to pray when we are in trouble, but to make prayer a lifestyle. Teach us to seek You in good and difficult times, when we understand and when we do not understand, when we have answers and when we are still waiting.

LORD Jesus, teach us to pray as You taught Your disciples. Help us to pray according to Your will and not merely according to our desires. Give us wisdom to know what to ask for, patience to wait for Your answers, and faith to trust You even when the answer does not come immediately.

Holy Spirit, help us in our weakness. When our hearts are heavy and our words fail us, intercede for us. Give us the grace to pray with sincerity, consistency, humility, faith, and understanding.

Father, teach us how to call upon Your name. Let us know You not only as the God who answers prayers, but as our Father, our refuge, our strength, our provider, our defender, and our peace.

Give us a deeper hunger for Your presence. Remove every distraction, laziness, doubt, fear, and spiritual weakness that keeps us from seeking You. Create in us a desire to pray even when nobody is watching.

Teach our families, our children, and everyone connected to us to become people of prayer. Let our homes become houses of prayer. Let our lives become living testimonies of what happens when people sincerely seek You.

Father, when we call, hear us. When we seek, let us find You. When we knock, open the doors that are according to Your perfect will.

Give us discernment to recognize Your voice, wisdom to follow Your instructions, and faith to obey even when we cannot see the outcome.

Father, teach us how to pray.
Teach us how to seek You.
Teach us how to call upon Your name.
Teach us how to hear Your voice.
Teach us how to trust You.
Teach us how to wait upon You.

And above all, teach us to desire You more than the answers to our prayers.

The news of the passing of His Majesty, Omukama Oyo Nyimba Rukidi IV, has been received with shock and extreme sadness.

I received the news from Omuhikirwa of Tooro, Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire last evening, and I immediately informed His Majesty Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, who was saddened by the demise of the young monarch (34 years).

The Kabaka urges the people of Tooro to stand together during this period of grief. The Kingdom of Buganda stands with the people of Tooro, and all Ugandans, during this sad moment.

May the Lord receive King Oyo's soul. CPM

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that I announce the passing of His Majesty the Omukama of Tooro, King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, at approximately 10:00 p.m. this evening.

This is an immeasurable loss to the Royal Family, the people of Tooro and the nation of Uganda.

I call upon the people of Tooro to remain united, calm and prayerful during this difficult time.
