Trump Issues New Rule: Welfare Now A Factor In Approving Immigration Status

The Trump administration will begin considering some immigrants' use of Medicaid, food stamps and housing assistance when deciding whether to approve green card applications.

The new rule reverses a Biden-era policy that largely limited the government's "public charge" review to cash welfare and long-term institutional care.

Immigration officers will now be allowed to weigh an applicant's use of certain public benefits, along with factors like age, health, income, education and work history.

The Department of Homeland Security says the change restores the principle that immigrants should be able to support themselves without relying on taxpayers.

The rule is expected to take effect next week and could affect roughly 588,000 people applying for green cards each year.

🚨 BREAKING: Virginia State Senator Saddam Azlan Salim (D-Fairfax) has introduced Senate Bill 624, legislation that would define "Islamophobia" within Virginia's assault and battery laws while requiring law enforcement to track crimes allegedly motivated by anti-Islam bias.

For years, we've warned that this is one path by which Islam gains political influence in the West. In my view, measures like this move society closer to treating criticism of Islam as something deserving of special legal protection. I believe that raises serious concerns about free speech and religious liberty.
I also believe we're seeing a similar pattern elsewhere. In Tampa, Florida, State Attorney Suzy Lopez, a @GovRonDeSantis appointee, is prosecuting Christians for preaching to Muslims on public property in a case involving alleged disruption of a religious assembly. That prosecution benefits CAIR's agenda and sends a chilling message to Christians who engage in public evangelism.

Christians need to pay attention to what's happening around them. If criticism of one religion receives increasing legal protection while biblical preaching faces criminal prosecution, we should be asking hard questions about the future of free speech and religious liberty in America.

Here’s a tidbit I just picked up on, kids.

Congress has made yet another shady backroom deal. The usual, right? This time, our national security is on the line.

Included in the current draft of the federal highway bill being considered in Congress, is a deal would which would bring more than 3,000 Chinese driverless vehicles to America in 2026, all to benefit Waymo. And our “congresspeople.”

Picture this: you hit the Capital Grill in DC for a happy hour. You do the right thing and call a rideshare, and a driverless car built in China pulls up.

Seems fine, right? But these cars don't just drive, they monitor, track, and map. And if Congress doesn't act, we could be handing the CCP a direct window into our neighborhoods. This is a real threat to our national security. We need to pay attention!

These vehicles aren't just cars. They're sophisticated surveillance tools that would map our neighborhoods, our military bases, and our critical infrastructure.

And all this data would get fed back to the Chinese Communist Party.

When we see elected officials like this run their mouths - all we can think is: "We're not gonna make it, are we?"

Democrat Rep. Summer Lee just argued that relying on objective standards for medical competence is racist... because it could lead to "too many white male doctors".

During a congressional hearing, the Pennsylvania congresswoman dismissed merit-based criteria, claiming “objective according to who” and equating “having all white male doctors” with “having all white male congressmen” as equally unacceptable.

She framed resistance to DEI in medicine as a problem, suggesting that skin color and gender should factor into who practices and who gets treated in hospitals.

This is the same ideology that has already pressured medical schools and accreditors to de-emphasize MCAT scores, GPAs, and clinical excellence in the name of racial balancing.

American patients deserve doctors chosen for skill and competence, not to satisfy racial quotas or political ideology.
