Mohammad Hidayatullah was the 11th CJI serving from 25 Feb 1968 to 16 Dec 1970, and the sixth VP of India, serving from 31 Aug 1979 to 30 Aug 1984.

He had also served as the Acting President of India from 20 July 1969 to 24 Aug 1969 & from 6 Oct 1982 to 31 Oct 1982.
