A year and a half ago, Changpeng Zhao was just getting out of jail. After a sweeping investigation into Binance, the cryptocurrency exchange he founded in 2017, Zhao (better known by his initials, CZ) pleaded guilty to failing to maintain an effective anti-money laundering program and agreed to pay a $50 million fine (on top of $4.3 billion paid by Binance), resign as CEO and serve four months in a California prison.

What a difference 17 months makes.

Forbes estimates that CZ is now richer than ever. His net worth has skyrocketed to $110 billion, up $47 billion from last year, on the annual #ForbesBillionaires list. CZ now ranks as the 17th-wealthiest person on the planet, by our count, and one of just 20 people worth twelve figures. He is richer than Bill Gates.

Full Review of the EPIC $QUBIC Madrid Conference

I already shared this review but now the dust has settled, I think it is worth sharing again

If you are a $QUBIC investor (or potential investor) you need to read this in full

There was a lot of special information shared at #qubicmadrid2024 that has me super bullish

The first speaker at the $QUBIC conference was David Vivancos

David explained where we currently are in the progression of Artificial Intelligence

He began by showing the progress of technology through time

He then said that we are entering into the 4th industrial revolution

I think he then stated that in many respects that we aren’t really entering an industrial revolution

(and I’m unsure he said the above line because the translation was a little hard to follow)

He said we are really entering a time when all work will be replaced by machines

We are going to free up so much time to pursue the things we want in life

He said that we aren’t just making advances in intelligence but we are making advances in robotics

He said people are scared of this technology growth but that has always been the case

People were once scared of fire or motor cars or steam power

He said that we will merge with this technology

And it will grow exponentially

And then he shared my favorite line in this talk

He said that this Artificial Intelligence will grow so fast that we won’t be able to even imagine what it will think or do

He said it was similar to bringing an animal to the #QUBIC conference and expecting them to understand what was happening

The second speaker was Jose Sanchez Jose was super interesting and dug into the science behind artificial intelligence

He firstly shared how the human brain learns everything from experience

It takes a baby months to recognize faces properly and distinguish objects

AI can be trained in the same manner and it learns far faster than humans

Our brains always make predictions and they simulate our environment

What we see and perceive isn’t actually the true world but it is instead the map of the world our brains create

Artificial Intelligence will map out its world in the same manner and it will be able to achieve a truer interpretation of the world than humans

The third speaker was Elena Gonzalez-Blanco

And she was a super interesting speaker because she was the main big tech speaker at this event

Elena is the Head of Artificial Intelligence with Microsoft

So having a speaker like her at this event is a big deal!

She is a linguist and one of the main tasks she is focused on with Microsoft is training Artificial Intelligence on the intricacies of language

Elena shared the difficulties of this which are mostly due to how language doesn’t necessarily follow clear rules, especially from language to language

But she said that we are getting there

And the next phase of Artificial Intelligence will be when AI truly understands language

And when AI is able to thing critically, logically, and creatively to make choices in abstract situations

She finished with a great quote which was

“Will robots inherit the earth, yes but they will be our children”

Elena’s presentation really blew my mind because this is one of the top people at one of the top companies in the world

And she is talking about Artificial Intelligence that is infinitely smarter than humans being very close

This wasn’t me and some friends drunkenly talking about AI and other conspiracies late at night during college 15 years ago 😂

This is a real serious and successful business leader now discussing this stuff

All the top companies and leaders in the world know this coming and is poised to be a huge part of this

The fourth and final speaker at the conference was called Alberto I didn't actually catch their 2nd name

Alberto works for $QUBIC and I’m pretty sure he is a developer for them, he gave my favorite presentation

He began by discussing how 80% of AI is currently being developed by only 10 companies and this is bad for the world

He then shared how $QUBIC is completely open source and decentralized so it will decentralize AI

The goal of $QUBIC is to develop Artificial Intelligence that improves life for everyone on earth

.. and designed for the common good because there is no central power in control that can use the AI for nefarious purposes

Alberto shared that $QUBIC is using its Useful Proof of Work Model to run a marathon to get the maximum compute power in the shortest time possible

In a year $QUBIC has gone from 1000 computers to 500000 computers providing power to the network

He said that compute power worldwide is being exhausted and there needs to be developments on this front but the #QUBIC network is continuing to grow

Alberto said that $QUBIC needs 10 times more computing power than it is currently getting

Once they get that compute power, they can add Aigarth to the system

Then users can train AI on very specific tasks

And a note here, when he says users, he is in part talking about huge enterprises like Google, Amazon, Microsoft and Meta

Alberto then discusses how resource intensive AI is at the moment but $QUBIC is the most resource efficient because it uses CPU rather than GPU

He then shared how $QUBIC is super scalable and can serve the needs of the whole world

He also shared that it is extremely secure because of the 676 network computors

And he said that it is more decentralized than #Bitcoin because no mining pool can come close to controlling or manipulating the platform

All of the above made me super bullish 🚀🚀

He shared that at the moment, will be used mainly for Smart Contracts and transfers

And over time, these Smart Contracts will burn $QUBIC at an increasing rate

And I can now see why Sergey Ivancheglo has stated that $QUBIC could hit a trillion dollar market cap🚀

So there was one extra person who took the stage at the $QUBIC conference

Their name was Jose Ramon, they weren’t a speaker but they shared some news

$QUBIC can now be stored on a hardware wallet called Hash Wallet

And you can get a $QUBIC card now too

This is something the community has been asking for, for quite a while now!

Now you can keep your $QUBIC in cold storage

And that was it!!

What an event!!

I can see the pieces coming together for $QUBIC and this event made me really bullish and I believe more and more in this project 🚀

This is a project that is far beyond what I initially expected when I went down the rabbit hole

It goes far beyond the transactional, smart contract and dApp space into something truly revolutionary

$QUBIC could become the number one cryptocurrency in this space
