Simplified my revision plan this Year. My detailed plan overwhelmed some students so to improve engagement I’ve simplified to one compulsory task and a going further. The aim is to also mix up revision tasks to help them better understand how to revise.
At @TrinityAcademyL, we didn’t just celebrate World Book Day. We had a glorious World Book Week. The buzz was palpable, the conversations beautiful and books were at the forefront.
Here’s what we did.
Whilst I usually prefer live modelling obviously, I find it's hardest to do with full pieces of creative writing. This is a booklet of 10 different examples of Paper 1 Q5 model answers in response to different images - might save you a bit of time!

Revision time. Keep it simple. Tomorrow, we're revising form - something ppls don't always make clear. We'll revise 4 Trans writing forms + key features. Ppls will then get piece of writing (AI generated) + be asked to present in diff forms before gallery show to consider diffs.
Aqa style paper One : 5 short extract , question succinct answers , longer answers : questions 2-5 : #TeamEnglish - Will add some more to it - as they are half done .
( we got 5 done in a lesson today but could be used independently )
