A personal post but one I’m immensely proud of. Today marks seven years of sobriety! The clarity and drive this has afforded me is unbelievable when my world seemed quite foggy. It’s something I would highly recommend and I’m happy to talk about it!

A top-class Saturday! One of Ezra’s birthday presents was a trip to the theatre to see We’re Going On A Bear Hunt which perfectly coincided with @YardActBand being across the road in Kirkgate Market. It was brilliant to meet them again on the release of a brilliant second album.

Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes tonight at The Foundry for a special stripped back set. It was a dream to meet Frank and Dean who were both so lovely. Dark Rainbow is a raw, honest and beautiful album.

A bit of Tuesday listening. The Gritterman by Orlando Weeks. Anything with a narrative and I’m sold. Couple that with my obsession with The Maccabees and Orlando Weeks and I’m all in. Love this story. @BloodRecs @OrlandoWeeks

August 19th: A Maisonneuve fracture suffered on Scarborough Beach.

August 21st: Surgery to fit two screws.

October 25th: First online lesson while I’m recovering.

These past nine weeks have been horrendous but I’m finally on the road to walking and then walking unaided.

My little girl fills me with pride every single day. I was gutted to miss her graduation today but she was in fantastic company. Isla is in a learning environment where she’s thriving and loves it at @OPA_LGr Year 2 complete with flying colours. Go Isla!
