Another pretty quick painting, Rhomaleosaurus this time - I'm not sure of the current discourse over plesiosaur parental care but it makes for a nice composition

This has been one of the works that has taken me the most effort, it seems that everything was in vain since it did not achieve its objective, but at least its one of the best pieces I have. Here you can see an advanced sketch.#paleoart#dinosaurs#cretaceous
Since It will most likely be a while until I can finish a full piece, I thought I’d share some ideas I’ve had sitting in my concept folder for a while now!
These ones are all very moody and I’m looking forward to returning to them one day.
Let me know which one is your favorite
@BrianEngh_Art You might also be right with Nilssonia, I actually started this one a while ago so I can't remember exactly what I was going for but definately a similar taxon
@BrianEngh_Art Yeah pretty much, this is set in the Taynton Limestone Formation which has a fairly good record of flora - the fern above is Sphenopteris, and I got to take some good refernce photos of Sagenopteris at the London NHM which is mainly why I made this piece.
