I don't have plans to leave here at the moment (my own little corner of this place is pretty ok), but I do have a Cohost should this place burst into flame (figuratively or literally). https://t.co/VP6nikXjtS
Hah, this place barely functions anymore and he wants to turn it into YouTube, Twitch, and essentially a bank for "half the global economy" simultaneously.
@turbotoaster It's fine for small groups and private friend channels (like Skype and AIM before), but I do kinda hate how it's become the de-facto for large communities (like for a game). Something like a forum would be far easier to browse and search, but those aren't free, so here we are.
See my pinned for my Cohost, which includes a link to my Mastodon. I also have Discord; so to any mutuals, if we're not already friends on there, send me a DM.
Well, RIP Tweetdeck. Essentially the only way I found this place usable has been "improved" (made worse) and will soon be paywalled. I already barely come here anymore, so I can see that becoming not at all soon.
I like that the three working theories for why Twitter broke are:
1.) Twitter is DDoSing itself because Elon is an idiot.
2.) Twitter is losing servers after the company ignored bills because Elon is an idiot.
3.) Twitter hopes to force people to pay because Elon is an idiot.
as fun as it is to dunk on the world's dumbest billionaire (and he is), there are a lot of real people who need this shit so they can find work, or take commissions, or whatever they gotta do to eat
i don't see the constant crumbling of their platform as something to celebrate
Removing Content Is Not An "Experience Improvement" @RockstarGames! Please reverse this decision, this update has removed more content than it has added https://t.co/ZJtb6Pd0JX
Damn it. Youtube finally brought the giant thumbnails to the subscriptions page. 15-20 videos on the screen down to 8 and 4 halves. Hated when they did that to the home page. Always gotta fix what ain't broken.
*sigh* Welp, turns out my brother-in-law (my niece and nephew's dad) has fallen deep into the anti-w*ke hole... Like "public school actively tries to turn kids gay/trans" deep. Fuck. Not sure how to try and correct that...
Willow was fine, IMO, no interest in any of the others listed, but the real tragedy is them pulling 'Howard'.
I highly recommend watching it before it's gone.
