You get your global config xml file with all the content needed by Magento to recognize your extension :p #magento #followme #prt

Explanation is easy! put all content from config.xml into app/etc/modules for the extension and when #Magento combines the xml files

I have a #magento extension running right now although it doesn't have a config.xml file o_O #weird

Alright, in #Magento, can you get rid of the "config.xml" file in an extension completely? The answer is Yes.

Tested this myself #fact #PRT

In #Magento extensions, this is the 1st time I know that you can leave extension config.xml empty and put the config in app/etc/modules/
