Nobody talks about how “greenwashing” lets corporations keep polluting while selling you the feeling of progress. They slap a leaf on the packaging, raise the price, and call it sustainability. The planet is still heating. Their profits are still rising.
The “subscription model” used to be for magazines. Now it’s razors, mattresses, software, car features, and even heated seats. They realized selling you something once was inefficient. Renting you the same thing forever is better business.
I never get why grown-ups always hit you with “are you excited to go back to school?” right when break is ending. What answer do they actually want? “Yes, I cannot wait to get up at dawn and spend the day in a building packed with exhausted, anxious kids who would rather be literally anywhere else”?

Nobody said, “Let’s rest.” We all just sat down for five minutes and woke up at 6:02 with wet laundry, no dinner, and the awful feeling that the entire day somehow disappeared.
