Most people's happiness comes down to three main factors
1) How much do you enjoy the people you spend the most time with?
2) How much do you enjoy what you're working on and putting energy into?
3) How much do you take care of yourself?
Prioritize these three this fall!

From that article, @pamturley55 "receiving 662 notifications for 30 students in 40 minutes. The pings on student cellphones were not only distracting, but it could sometimes take 15 minutes for students to refocus on class." #utedchat
A6 I have seen Ss with smart watches call parents during recess or while supposedly using the restroom. "Hey mom, can I go home to watch the World Series?" Now if that was for the World Cup, then I may have said yes. :) #utedchat
Parents text and call their kids during class...of course not me. But I've seen it. Or kids call their parents on their watches during recess. Ss hear they don't get to go to the party and then they get a parent to pick them up. #utedchat
A5 If not allowed, Ss can be so sneaky in how they get access to their device. Why are my kids texting me during class? LOL. I wonder if their Ts even notice. #utedchat
A4 Let's get down to DigCit! Yes! Ss need to know the appropriate use of cell phones and devices in and out of school. Like others have mentioned, if the device is out to learn and create then let it be, but if there is no edu reason for them, then why have them out? #utedchat
A3. It depends on the phone. If it's a smart phone then just about anything. One problem I see is that students may bring devices that are older and some programs might not work well on those devices. Students may bring "dumb" phones that can't access the internet. #utedchat
A2 Like anything else in education, there needs to be clear expectations so students know the expectations. I've seen things like no cell phones at all to those that allow it all the time. My high schooler uses it for music during class I hear. My middle schooler too. #utedchat
