This footage from inside the eye of Category 5 Hurricane Melissa might be the most jaw-dropping video ever captured of a hurricane’s eye, showcasing the infamous “stadium effect."
Just a quick one for T&L leads - how do you go about sharing new ideas with staff? Do you share this before school (T&L briefing), after school (twilight) or another option?
Lighthearted, funny and informative, the bonus being written by someone who was brought up down the road from me so lots of what he speaks about I can relate to 😃 @mikeparkerwales
Up there with one of the best ‘human’ geography books I’ve ever read. A proper misconception buster! If you’re going to teach anything to do with migration, I’d suggest reading this first because what we’re teaching, is probably wrong…
Not going to lie, struggled with this at times due to the complexity of the language but an interesting read to understand 3 different rivers, the issues they face and what they mean to different stakeholders @RobGMacfarlane
@kate_stockings It was the coming storm, I think I remember you tweeting about it so ordered a copy for the department library and got it read last week, really enjoyed it 👍
What a great read for A-Level EdExcel water cycle, carbon cycle, superpowers & migration, identity and sovereignty. In other words, a must read for any A-Level Geography student in my opinion @LiamFox
