Wednesday night, Alvin ISD School Board moved to appoint its 14th superintendent since 1925, the eighth superintendent holding a doctoral degree, the second female superintendent in district history, and the first African American superintendent of Alvin ISD.
Dr. Mason, you have earned this seat. You have earned this opportunity. And I am proud tonight to cast my vote and my full support behind you as the next Superintendent of Alvin ISD.
Congratulations, Dr. Mason, and may God continue to guide your leadership and the future of Alvin ISD.
As Scripture reminds us in Isaiah 40:31:
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
God bless you, and God bless Alvin ISD.
Congratulations to Dr. Rhonda Mason! 🎉
This evening, the Alvin ISD Board of Trustees proudly named Dr. Rhonda Mason as the lone finalist for Superintendent of Schools.
With over 25 years of experience in instructional leadership and educational excellence, Dr. Mason brings a proven track record of impact, vision, and service to students and communities.
Her commitment to advancing student outcomes and strengthening systems positions Alvin ISD to move from good to great in the years ahead.
We look forward to the leadership, innovation, and excellence she will bring to our district.

@MatthewBerryTMR The only reason I disagree is because two plays earlier, Eberflus interjected and called a timeout, much to Caleb’s displeasure. Why not in that moment discuss the next two plays/scenarios.
Or at worst, after the botched play with 36 seconds burn your last one.
