@patricksullivan @Rippling @Rippling's customer service has declined over time, and now its R&D refund process is delayed by 1-2 years (not the 10 weeks that is shared online and even from Rippling themselves).

Given these refund checks can be critical cash for startups, I have to agree with your post.
