NEW YORK GOVERNOR FLIPS ON MIGRANTS
In Dec 2021, NY Gov. Kathy Hochul invited all migrants to come to New York.
She welcomed them with open arms, quoting the welcoming message from the Statue of Liberty touting the state's sanctuary status.
A few days ago, she changed her tune due to the ongoing migrant crisis:
"If you're going to leave your country, go somewhere else. We have to let the word out that when you come to New York, you’re not going to have more hotel rooms. We don’t have capacity, so we have to also message properly."
She advocated for people to enter the country properly:
"The smarter thing is to apply for asylum before you leave your country.”
Immigration plays a key role in our economy and labor force, but it must be done through the correct channels.
If New York is struggling to accept more migrants, then we have a serious problem!
Is Hochul a hypocrite, or did she bite off more than she can chew?
TROPICAL UPDATE 🌀 #Lee will become not only a stronger storm, but also a BIGGER storm too while in the Atlantic next week. American Model has tropical storm-force wind field expanding to 500 miles wide by next Wednesday. Big surf and rip current risk regardless if it impacts land or stays out to sea. @WINKNews

(June 07, 2022) Fort Worth, Texas - Woman charged with throwing boyfriend’s mother’s ashes into lake in 2020
Augustine Gladney, 40, of Fort Worth, was arrested last month after she reportedly admitted her actions to her boyfriend, Ernest Smith, NBC Dallas-Fort Worth reported.
Smith, 38, told police back in June 2020 that he returned home one night to find that the urn containing his mother’s cremated remains was missing. According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Smith told investigators he and Gladney were dating at the time but were not on good terms.
Fast forward to May 2022, when Smith told authorities he overheard a phone conversation between Gladney and her daughter, who was at their home at the time, the NBC affiliate reported. In that phone call, Gladney allegedly told her daughter she had thrown the urn full of ashes into Lake Worth, a reservoir and recreation area in the city.
Smith told police he was unable to reach Gladney until nearly midnight Monday night. It was apparently around that time that she texted him, admitting that she had thrown his mother’s ashes into the water, NBC Dallas-Fort Worth reported.
The alleged crime made headlines in May but appears to have resurface.
The video, captioned, “He cheated so I threw his mom ashes in river,” shows a woman dumping an urnful of ashes off the side of a bridge.
According to the Dallas Express, Gladney faces a year in prison and a fine of up to $4,000 on the charge, which is a misdemeanor.

Let me introduce you to Virgil Lamar Ware. He was an eighth-grader, an A student who loved to play football.
Virgil had a bright future. He dreamed of becoming a lawyer.
All those hopes and dreams ended on September 15, 1963. The day he was gunned down in the aftermath of the Birmingham church bombing.
Virgil and his brother were returning home, totally unaware that the bombing had occurred.
They encountered Larry Joe Sims and Michael Lee Farley, two sixteen-year-olds coming from a segregationist rally.
When the white teens saw the Ware brothers, Farley told Sims to shoot, to “scare them.” Sims shot Virgil twice, once in the cheek and once in the chest.
The 13-year-old died on the Docena-Sandusky Road on the outskirts of Birmingham.
Young Virgil was buried on the side of the road up until 2004 when he was moved to a plot with a marker thanks to donations.
DeSantis and the likes want to hide this history. History is history.
DeSantis cites “white discomfort” I experience discomfort knowing that DeSantis and the likes don’t want Black history taught.
Black children were casualties of racism. It’s a fact. Children deserve to know and learn from it. #FreshResists #BlackHistoryWithLana
