Quality of Life infographics for a country! Grade 8 Gifted students were given a country. Using indicators, population pyramids and the HDI, they had to make a creative infographic! Then, students had to discuss the future implications of their specific country. Some examples! 👇

What do you remember about fractions? Grade 7/8 Gifted class wrote down everything they could possibly remember about fractions as we head into the unit.

Unpopular opinions! Grade 7/8 Gifted class talked about their unpopular opinions, and then had to try and persuade the class to agree. If they disagreed, they were able to debate them! Fun interactive activity to start the day and introduce the persuasive writing unit!

Today in Language and Literacy, we got to play NY Times’ “Connections”, but tailored to the subject / unit we are studying. This is a fantastic idea that I will be using in my own class with any subject or topic beyond literacy too.

Grade 12 Law and Grade 12 English students debating two different topics.
1. Are all trials created equal? Students had to answer both yes and no, and debate each other.
2. Do Juliet and Lady Macbeth demonstrate positive representation of women? Students had to debate both.
