Today was mostly travel but I got my first sight of the Badlands & the Black Hills, was surprised by how hilly Iowa was, had lunch at the Corn Palace, & saw my 1st Western Meadowlarks! Hoping the weather holds tomorrow as I explore the geology here. #fftfellow @fundforteachers

I have been in shock since I found out last week, but I was selected as a #FFTFellow. This summer I'll be going on a learning experience I designed to visit 10 Western US National Parks to increase my knowledge and create lessons for my students!

@NWSILN I'm a trained spotter. We had a downburst of hail in Troy, OH Cookson-Stonyridge neighborhood) ~2154. 2 cm for the largest pieces I could find which came down for about 1 min. About 1 cm for most pieces which were more numerous for the next minute.
