Having seen a brilliant example of whole class feedback from @kenradical, I've given it a go for my year 10 essays and am really pleased with the result. I'll be giving them their copy tomorrow and will see what they think!
I can't find a brillant Teaching History article on Empire! It was written by two teachers who had written a textbook and their SOW included enquiries into whether or not imperial treasures should be returned etc. Can't find a trace on the website- any help appreciated!
@freereed59 @SamMitschke I agree, I think we skirt around the gender politics of these phrases with KS3 (and beyond!) because it can confuse what is already complex. Shouldn't stop these assumptions being unpacked though- I'll go back through my resources later ๐
@EMTrains currently held at Bedford on a train that left Leicester at half 12. We have been given no information or update on when or if we will arrive at St Pancras!
I decided to enjoy my marking free Saturday by making an Elizabeth I revision video. This one covers gov. in 1558, her character and initial problems and is targeted at lower achieving students ๐ https://t.co/aUGYo3UefH #FlipLearning#ElizabethI
Crappy (and incredibly busy!) last week with discipline feeling like it had slipped. I'm feeling like a corners been turned though with extra emphasis on ensuring first and last 5 mins of every lesson start/end calmly, positively and productively! #NQT

This is very poignant on how well-intentioned people trivialise and dismiss anti-Semitism, in a way they would not dream of for other forms of prejudice. https://t.co/oTfWWWQo3D
When I was marking over the Summer some people mentioned a brilliant (well-known?) interactive lesson on the Spanish Armada involving students acting as the wind and ships etc. Any ideas on where I can find out more twitter?
