In March, @MrFermont joined a panel of our alumni who shared insights from careers in government since graduating. Here, he speaks about his time at LSE, current career at @Europarl_EN, and his time leading @LSEAAB.
Third, with the EU perspective, @MrFermont writes that the new creation of a High-Level Dialogue on Trade is an opportunity to "achieve greater coordination and inject political guidance into an at times fraught economic relationship" https://t.co/rgAKMgpiq5
.@MrFermont: “Strong cooperation in telecomm[s], [AI], and common standards that abide by the principles of democratic societies would be highly beneficial for the EU and India as well as check actors who seek to undermine these principles." https://t.co/tbQ67bSltF

Why does the WTO exist and why should it be reformed? I wrote a short article on this topic for Friends of Europe's upcoming discussion paper on global governance reform.
I hope you'll enjoy the read and would be delighted to hear what you think.

@Fox_Claire @BrexitMeps @EUparliament No Claire, this has to do with the protection of the EU’s external border, to avoid trafficking, etc. The same happens at all EU external borders. Stop blaming the EU and take some responsibility for your own decisions. I pity those in the U.K. who didn’t vote for this.
⚠️We are looking for a new board member! Do you want to support the LSE Alumni community while learning new skills? Then join us!🙌Send us an e-mail at [email protected] with your CV and a short paragraph with your motivation, we will be in touch.
The pleasure was all mine @inumanak! Good luck with putting the final version together and promotion your new ideas on special and differential treatment! Looking forward to seeing the final version.
Excellent questions and great discussion facilitated by @MrFermont on S&DT today. You’ve all given me lots to think about! Thank you to the audience for pointed questions, Myrto for your insights, and @ECIPE for organizing.
