@Handley_EDU One of our primary objectives is to work on ATL skills. Often the evidence can be seen via the ATL "grade" they receive in each class. Advisory time is often used for housekeeping mattes as well.
Our co-curricualar Rugby Club travelled to Freeport to play in the Rugby Festival. The competed against clubs from the US, Grand Bahama and Cayman. Our students teamed up with players from Freeport and from Windsor Prep. It was a weekend of great camaraderie and sportsmanship.
No classes, classrooms or curriculum; rolling start and finishing times; ubiquitous mobile phone use; Ss designed system for tracking progress. “I tell my staff, ‘don’t ask me if this is a good idea. Do it for a week and ask the Ss if it’s a good idea” https://t.co/VOrGOs13Gv
With our Junior Boys and Senior Girls winning yesterday all three LCIS football teams are #BAISS champions this year. This is only our second year in this competitive league. Congratulations to all of our athletes!

@Handley_EDU Was thinking the same. Mocks in Dec and Feb, now strict revision time inforced. I've given myself 1 month for revision, knowing that many Ss will be absent and we have many disruptions.#DPchat
LCIS Grade 11 students Camrawn Cox and Maclean Goodfellow in action, playing for the Bahamas under-17 team at the @Concacaf championship qualifying round in Bradenton.

Pt.1 I realized that I often reflect on my day with other Ts but not as often with my Ss. We have decided to use a star + wish for daily reflection. Ss have been expressing changes they would like to see. 1st change, more opp for independent reading+writing. #pypchat#yorklearns
Really excited at the opportunities Google expeditions provides across all grade levels. TOK students are wondering how VR will change the acquisition of knowledge in areas like Art and History.
As we are in reporting period I’m reflecting on the “why” of report card comments and “how” do they boost student success if we have been giving authentic feedback to Ss all along. How can we shift the culture of comments away from “for parents”. #MYPChat
#MYPChat Q2. Whether its CC or another curriculum it is important to have standards mapped out for the entire community to see. Private schools are at a disadvantage as there is no one to prescribe our curriculum. This can allow autonomy but also distrust.
