On April 3rd the same day F-15E & A-10 losses were reported this routine flight exhibited highly unusual irregular behavior.

A petrochemical facility in southwest Iran was hit by Israeli airstrikes a short while ago, according to Iranian media.

The Fars news agency reports that the Karun Mahshahr Petrochemical Company in the Khuzestan Province was hit by strikes carried out by "the Zionist enemy, causing partial damage."

Russia's Baltic region has long been known to have some of Russia's most sophisticated air defense systems anywhere in Russia besides perhaps Moscow.
The fact Ukraine can hammer St Petersburg indicates we've seen a significant degradation of Russian Air Defenses.

Ukrainian forces carried out a widespread drone attack on Russia this morning, scoring a number of successful hits.

Dozens of drones swarmed St. Petersburg, striking Baltic Fleet installations, the port of Mariupol was hit, and a major oil depot in Ust-Labinsk was set ablaze.

The main U.S. air war command center at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar was severely damaged by Iranian missiles. The Iranians likely received accurate coordinates to successfully penetrate U.S. defenses to strike that installation using Russian satellite imagery.

Ukraine will have to tread carefully because if it's forces successfully causes a localized Russian military collapse in Crimea that is the exact type of scenario that WOULD trigger a more direct intervention by Moscow 's closest ally, Beijing.

For Ukraine to achieve a tactical success that will force Putin's hand it requires something that is ideology vital to Putin's regime & legacy. The obvious target would have to be Crimea that is Putin's crown jewel.

This evening I voted against The Ukraine Support Act. While I am supportive of lethal aid so the Ukrainian people can defend themselves and put an end to this war, this legislation ties President Trump’s hands in navigating the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. More importantly it does not account for the current state of play in the conflict as it was introduced over a year ago. The failure to bring this up through regular order, prevented the House from being able to amend and debate the bill. The bottom line: no one is winning this war and no side is in a more advantageous position than they were 5 years ago when this began. Ukrainians need access to the tools to defend their country and this bill does not do that.

The Trump Administration spent a pretty good chunk of 2025 trying to get Russia to agree to a peace agreement with Russia grandstanding. It led to Secretary of State Rubio warning Moscow that the U.S. was losing patience with "talks about talks."
