MEd, MCCT, NPQSL. MAT trustee. Music teacher by trade all subjects for the love of the job. Making students see their own self worth and pushing them further!
Thank you @FoxfordSchool it’s been one hell of a journey. Really emotional week with some amazing gifts and cards that have even made me a little emosh! Met amazing colleagues and students, left with fantastic friends! Now it’s time for Mr Griffin to get gone!
@SCDerbyuni Can you tell the schools broke up this week? Who will the press vilify now…ah…higher education. I hated a levels even the subject I have taught for 18 years. University spent a year de-aleveling us to make us better musicians and academics. Got a first in my BA and MEd! D at A2
Absolutely honoured to have served as a trustee at Esteem Multi-Academy Trust for five brilliant years. As I depart to become Deputy Head at Cairo English School, what a fitting and genuinely wonderful leaving gift, thanks to the Year 5 legends at Fountains Primary school. 🇪🇬😂
@Headteacherchat Why was a parent able to set and send the teams meeting? If they weren’t you need your IT team to look at the school’s settings as this shouldn’t have been allowed in the first place. Speak to the parent it may have been an accidental click.
Just at a meeting at Esteem South Academy in Swadlincote - the students here renovate bikes to give to any new students who need them, or to sell for school rewards funding, so if you have any standing unused in your garage I can help you give them a great new home!
@head_teach I also think it’s the plethora of formats and layouts and type of information requested. Sometimes the deadlines from the new school are ridiculous. I also agree many staff no longer have the courtesy conversation with the HT/LM.
@Headteacherchat You must also consider how the school would fill the position, at a later stage, if you “turned them done”. Schools are struggling enough, my advice would be to withdraw and chance it.
@CraigMcKeeEdu @misterunwin @chrisdysonHT@CensoredHead@Headteacherchat@EdRoundtables It’s tricky as if they are a sole candidate, do we see their best? For me it’s always on the strength of the application, however as it’s an slt position the nagging “what if” is always there. As an aside the timing of the advert is always our biggest factor.
@jwalms93 If you consider how many people have read this advert…maybe it’s marketing genius. I would like to see a school where being an AHT is easier than curriculum leadership. 😂
