The lack of sequels to Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003) still hurts. The world, the characters, the craft were built for a trilogy. One of the great modern epics that should’ve continued, but never got the chance.
@ScottGustin@TheWrap Yeah but lost money due to expenses and marketing. Ditch Avatar from Disneyland please! Nobody wants it. Put in Frozen and Tangled.
@Latterdaytruth I sat in general
Conference in the red seats of the quorum of the twelve for one of the sessions in 1975 as a new deacon. It’s a long story but my uncles friend was chief usher and there was an open seat! I made it in TV in my light blue suit!
@saylordocs You left out the biggest. Having children that greet you when you get home and, after they leave the house , greet you with love when they return
The committee made it abundantly clear it’s not merit based. The playoffs is just the cool kids club and BYU isn’t perceived as a cool kid. ND and the SEC are the cool kids. The whole thing is a sham
In 2016 I was an EFY counselor and I put together this video to the Hymn “A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief” that I shared during my Thursday lesson to hundreds of young men over the summer.
Many came up to me in tears saying how much they felt the spirit and how they never knew the full meaning behind the hymn.
Years later as they began going on missions, several reached out to me saying that moment at EFY in 2016 was their “Sacred Grove” that stayed with them as they continued to build their testimonies and faith in Jesus Christ and the restored gospel.
