I have abandoned ship here on X.

Over on @Substack, however, I blog about paintings by people who have been dead for hundreds of years.

It is, I promise, a bit more entertaining than that sounds.

In our latest podcast episode, @MrJakeLloyd & @KathrynPharr from @WaterAidUK explore how a community-run water treatment plant provided a village in Bangladesh access to safe drinking water and created business opportunities for women.

Artificial lawns should be banned. In the face of a biodiversity crisis, we should be creating habitats, not covering our gardens in ugly plastic where no life can exist. They're non-recyclable, dangerous to pets, the negative list goes on... please sign!!

[Caught by the River @tweetbytheriver]

'The dominant narrative of western history is of linear progress and growth, despite much of the earth being shaped by cycles...'

What might we miss, ponders Elizabeth Wainwright, when we ignore the ancient globe's offerings in favour of straight lines? https://t.co/nPz6Xwd1zu

This chat with Rosemary - one of reality TV's earliest 'stars' - is a helpful reminder of just how important food is to sustaining not only our bodies, but our communal life too.

Well worth a listen I'd say.

If someone asked you to...

🧳 uproot your life
🏝 move to an uninhabited island
🗓 spend a year there
👥 with 30 strangers
🤝 to create a new community from scratch

...what would you say?

In this new #podcast episode, we meet someone who answered 'yes'. https://t.co/EbYbvoSnDB

@NBALPSupport @RokuSupport It's still unwatchable. Are there any streaming devices where this *isn't* an issue with audio sync?

[Jake Lloyd @MrJakeLloyd]

@NBALPSupport @RokuSupport Hi Roku & League Pass.

The 'no spoilers' option is meant to NOT tell me who won. But as you can see, the headline says who won in large block capitals.

Which one of you needs to fix this? Season starts in 2 weeks. Can you sort it in time? Thanks.

[Jake Lloyd @MrJakeLloyd]

@NBALPSupport @RokuSupport Thanks. Do you expect to fix it before the season starts?

[Jake Lloyd @MrJakeLloyd]

@jojolostsheep @NBALPSupport @RokuSupport It seems to be sorted now thankfully. Is your audio completely out of sync with your picture though? It's unwatchable for me.

[Jake Lloyd @MrJakeLloyd]

@NBALPSupport @RokuSupport This problem is now sorted thanks.

Now I'll move on to the next problem...

On every single game, the audio is several seconds out of sync with the video.

Is anyone working on fixing this?

Example below.
