Why isn't Look Around You better known than it is? It might be a parody of a specific type of science programme but it's done in a way everyone can 'get', and with jokes that are basically the joke equivalent of earworms. Thanks Robert and Peter. Theter.

One of the mysteries of life for me is why we have designed school in such a way that it requires children to do so many things which are very hard for them - and which become much easier in adulthood. 1/
American artists often seem shocked at how good British audiences are at group singing. This from Elbow’s concert in Manchester last night proves that school assemblies where kids sing together must never be abandoned
How many people have made the assumption for decades that youngsters with #DownSyndrome can’t learn #BSL because it’s ‘too difficult’ and they need a limited and simplified system?
This assertion to ‘Assume that I Can’ completely challenges that assumption.
There’s a rise in live comedy being live captioned, which can make shows accessible to d/Dear and hard-of- hearing people. But it takes skill and investment to do it well. I spoke to @stenomum, @lararicote & @jefwilliams (@LittleWander) to find out more https://t.co/KD3s4xDY5r
Great to see the captioned performance of @CharlieChoc_UK at @LiverpoolEmpire. Caption boxes would have been better placed on the other side of the lighting rig but still a valuable resource. Should be available for all performances. Wonderful to see BSL used too!!! 🤟🏻
@timfarron Not just in Cumbria seems to be a UK wide issue. Just been told our dentist is going private only and two local dentists have told me at least a 2.5 year wait list to register as NHS patients.
@QueerCantHear I recently bought a blink doorbell for this. It cost £24.99 that delivers notifications to your phone and any Alexa devices around the house. To have the live video function you need another piece of hardware and to save its £2.49 a month. But not needed just for the doorbell.
@samanthabaines@Cinema_UK@RNID Thank you for highlighting this. I recently got a card through the appeal process. But had to justify how being deaf made me eligible.
Cinemas really need to up their game with access for everyone but particularly deaf people. It’s not good enough!!
@redgierob Former school I used to teach at… pupils would be in shirt, tie, jumper, blazer until the principal ‘declared summer’ which would reluctantly be done around two weeks before term ended. Children could then be ‘invited by staff’ to remove their blazers. 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
