Current status.
Day 9 in the prone position.
This is the worst recovery… lots of time to reflect. You certainly see who your friends are. At some point you just enter survival mode.
And my health/fitness is taking a nosedive… such is life. It’ll come back.

PVD is very common as you age. In only a small % does it progress to a retinal detachment.
Sometimes it’s good to be in that small elite group… and sometimes it’s not.

It’s all about the gas bubble at this time. The goal is to keep it against the retina… and not the lens.
The gas is toxic to the lens. So cataracts are common. So far my lens is clear and pressures are normal.

But you pay a very very heavy price for being prone for 14 days. It’s worth it for vision… so…
