It’s insane that the 49ers have to go on the road and play the Seahawks off their bye on a short week Saturday after traveling to Philadelphia.
Yet, the Bears and Rams will play on Sunday, after they both just played on Saturday.
Makes no sense.
@robertkaplinsky@ddmeyer I wasn’t able to make it out this year, but I find the feedback of “High Information” incredibly interesting, is there anywhere I can find some more info about it. I pulled up the research article it references but didn’t get much insight into that specific strategy of feedback
@midimath Personally, I would not, I might ask a question either in person or on the paper and be like how far does the line go? If they can answer it, they understand it, if they can’t, it’s a clarification point I might need to make to the whole class
@Dean_of_math I too would love to take a look. Your blog about the purpose of grading and comparing that to assessment aligned with what I’ve been feeling for far too long.
I was having a conversation with a colleague, and we were discussing “new math” versus “old math”, he then asked, tell me in a it’s This not That kind of way, so I said Math is about understanding not memorizing, curious as to how you guys think of it? #mtbos#mathed#iteachmath
As I reflect on the amazing week @NCTM, I can't help think about all the sessions I wanted to go to, but couldn't or missed. There should be an open Google doc so we could all add in an summarize or link things #nctm2023#NCTMDC23#mtbos
Today is Ada Lovelace Day. Ada Lovelace was born in 1815, but her work was so revolutionary that she was recognized as the world's first computer programmer in the mid-1900s!
This day, founded in 2009, uplifts women and girls who are working in or interested in STEM fields.
