It's time to act @GillianKeegan!
As a member of the @NEUnion, I took action this week to #SaveOurSchools.
It's time for you to get around the table and offer the pay rise teachers deserve. #PayUp
So, having recently been to Galileo Galilei's home town and visited it's famous leaning tower from which he investigated the rates of falling objects, this morning I performed my own tests for gravity and terminal velocity. #physicsinaction#skydivebuzz
Rainbows are surprisingly common on warm sunny days. In the spray of a garden hose and as light refracts through your picnic glass. Where will you find a rainbow today? #physicsinaction#rainbows#gottalovescience https://t.co/ZdrYpQcqmX
The results are in. The class found out that the highest mean number of germinated cress seeds (7 out of 10) was in soil treated with a pH6 solution closely followed by pH7 which had a mean seed germination of 5 out of 10. No one had any seed germination for pH2 or pH4, but why?
Another day, another cress based investigation. Some Yeat 12s have set up a series of samples under different light filters to investigate the effects of different wavelengths of light on the growth of cress. #alevelbiology#activelearning#science
This morning some Year 9s applied their learning of the human digestive system to that of Rattus norvegicus (brown rat) 🐀🔪. Most could identify the organs and state the organs function. How many organs can you identify? #biology#dissection#activelearning
Year 8 are investigating the effects of different strengths of acid on seed germination compared to a neutral solution. This is linked to their work on the effects of acid rain. Results should be in by the end of the week. #biology#KS3science#activelearning
Well the sun is finally out for the 2nd Bronze DofE qualifying expedition of the year and I'm pleased to find that my 23 year old gold DofE jumper still fits! #DofE#bronzeDofE#adventurelearning
When you've carefully nurtured your A level Biologists for over 2 years and all they really took away from it was your obscure sense of humour! Fair well Bio-boys, Bio-girls and every Bio in between. 🧬❤️🧡💛💚🌱#alevelbiology#gottalovebiology
#OnThisDay in 1912 Alan Turing was born. Often considered to be the father of modern computer science, Turing was one of the most influential British figures of the 20th century and his legacy continues to inspire many today
