Today, P6/7 welcomed staff and students from @RobertGordonUni who delivered a first aid course for us. We thoroughly enjoyed learning DR ABS, the recovery position, and how to help someone who is choking. We can't wait to share our learning at our class assembly next week!
This term, P6/7 have been busy making a Christmas Activity book as part of our enterprise topic. A few days ago, it was published on Amazon! If you could support the class by buying a copy, it would be greatly appreciated.
P6/7 had a great time meeting @McmasterGreat today. We thoroughly enjoyed hearing about his career, looking at his medals/shirts, and getting his autograph. We also got a signed copy of his new book which I am sure will become the most popular book in our class library!
Whilst the class enjoyed seeing his memorabilia and getting his autograph, it was John's messages regarding resilience, hard work, and overcoming the odds to be successful that were mentioned by the pupils when I asked them about the visit at the end of the day.
Today, P3 started learning about Scottish scientists/inventions. We learned about Alexander Graham Bell and the invention of the telephone. We made our own telephones and we are looking forward to experimenting with them tomorrow.
Last night at Sleepy Seaton, P3 enjoyed sharing the stories and books they had made in class. It was great to see so many people reading their books to families and friends.
Today, P3 started learning their new sounds and spelling words for the week. One activity involved writing a short story using all of the words in the spelling list.
