It is an understanding that drivers have the right to reject trips they believe are not financially worthwhile. If the fare offered by the app doesn’t cover their cost & profit as required, they shouldn’t accept the ride in the first place.

Why accept a 4k trip only to demand 10k after the passenger has been matched? These ride-hailing apps should set fair & sustainable fares for both riders & drivers!

I’m strongly against this like this is pure daylight robbery. Those supporting this act are thieves😠 Economic hardship is not an excuse to spoil other people’s businesses and ruin Nigeria’s image. If you wouldn’t accept the fare shown on the app, simply reject the trip and log off or go and do regular taxi work. Nobody forced you to accept the ride.

This nonsense some drivers are doing needs to be properly investigated. It’s high time Uber and Bolt permanently blacklist every driver caught doing this kind of thing.
