Just pulled these two untouched Sentry Mode cabin camera shots:
Left → 2020 Model 3 (HW3)
Right → 2025 Model 3 Highland
The steering wheel visibility difference is massive.
On HW3 it’s barely (if at all) in frame.
On Highland it’s crystal clear.
With FSD 14 Lite rolling out, this raises a real question:
how does the older HW3 camera actually evaluate driver readiness — eyes, head position, and hands on the wheel — if it can’t reliably see the steering wheel itself?
Curious if this is the hardware limit that means pre-Highland cars will need an interior camera upgrade for the best FSD 14 Lite experience… or if HW3 can still deliver.

Unbelievable.
Bureaucracy that stops a life saving feature.
This smells lobbying from far away...
Questions for ETSC:
What other possible KPI could be more important than number of crashes and fatalities?
And moreover:
How does ETSC prevent any human to cross solid line?
Are we going to suspend driving licenses for all of them?
Unbelievable.

🚨 ETSC's Organizational Rejects Tesla's Introduction to FSD Europe
The European Transportation Safety Council has written to transport ministers in major European countries not to acknowledge Tesla's approval of FSD.
The Netherlands, Belgium, Lithuania, Estonia and Denmark, which have already been approved, have been excluded, and other member states are talking about rejecting it because the country will soon have a decision on whether to approve it or not.
Tesla's FSD safety has already been proven incredibly much, and with that data, this move by the ETSC is disappointing, and the delay in the introduction of FSD will create a major setback for the safety of public roads. @elonmusk
The key to saving the environment is not looking backward, it’s moving forward.
I realized this the first time I visited Italy twenty years ago. Everything was clean and green. The rivers sparkled. The lesson for me was obvious: the answer is not underdevelopment. The answer is progress.
When China was poor, the air was so polluted that people could barely see the blue sky. Today, blue skies have returned to their cities. Development does not only create wealth, it also provides the resources needed to restore and protect the environment.
Some environmentalists want us to preserve every aspect of our biodiversity, including the mosquitoes for example, so that researchers can fly in once every ten years from their universities (which build particle accelerators and billion-dollar laboratories with their pocket money), study our ecosystems, and count how many people died from dengue outbreaks.
They want to buy our air through carbon credits. If carbon credits were such a great deal, they would be selling them to us, not the other way around.
Cleaning every river, lake, and water source in El Salvador, and ensuring they remain clean and sparkling, would cost roughly $12 billion. Where is that money supposed to come from without economic development? Carbon credits?
The path forward for our country is the path of Japan and Singapore, not the path of the Congo.

@TripTz EU HW3 version relies only on nagging the wheel... If you leave you eyes from the road is just an additional alert. But looking at the road is not enough. Very annoying
@nikitabier@elonmusk quick feature request for X:
When I’m short on time, let me fast-scroll and mark the good stuff (especially interview videos) to watch later.
Then auto-build a hands-free playlist that plays them in sequence like a podcast — zero taps needed while driving.
At least until unsupervised FSD arrives 😂🚗
Sarebbe bello, Italia @GiorgiaMeloni@matteosalvinimi
You heard it today, the countdown for FSD approval has started!
It's time for TESLA OWNERS and TSLA RETAIL to act! Please take the time to help!
Following this link you will be able to access names & email addresses and - if desired - a template to contact your local legislators / regulators in different countries.
https://t.co/i97rBWOqGd
You can use either the contact database and a static version only, or if you want the full experience, hit the "dynamic email generator" and thereafter the "copy" button, you then have your independent set up. Then use the tabs on the bottom of the newly generated Google sheet to navigate to your desired email outcome.
In any case, nobody here sees what you are doing and you are not sending any information to us.
Thank you for your help with getting FSD approved.
And thanks to @_jeffreyr who kindly set this up
