This space is dying because "investors/buyers" and projects within it never took themselves seriously. To frank, the train is coming to a stop because the money is going away, and if we can be honest, that was the primary attractant in the first place.

What is a "good" project? What's its function for holders? What value does it present? Truly. Even the top projects in the space (@BoredApeYC , @Azuki , @DeGodsNFT, etc.) are basically entry tickets to parties and private discords.

They raise millions and instead of parlaying that into a business loan from a web2 bank to actually build something, they piss it away on the most irrelevant, non-needle moving shit you can imagine. (Like buying failed web3 brands).

@LambolandNFT @kineticweb3 @waleswoosh Interest isn't coming back. NFTs popped because of COVID. People had money coming in (stimulus) and money to blow (lockdowns). If this space isn't a place to make money, people aren't interested in it. That's just the reality.

If I was an Azuki holder, I'd be hot right now. It used to cost $30K to rock an Azuki PFP. Now it only costs $3K with an Azuki Lite (Elementals).

The dilution is real.

Would love to see a project embody that ethos more personally instead of churning out new subsidiary projects and tech upgrades.

Projects need more “why/meaning” behind them.

Starting to think that the only path for NFTs in their current form is community through real communal events and activities (regular meet ups, virtual meetings, etc.).

Had this thought today that once you buy the Azuki, or BAYC, or CryptoPunk, the dopamine hits then you’re just

looking at another asset. It’s not a car you can drive or a house you can decorate. It’s a status symbol and access to a private chat room in most cases.

The community angle I mentioned is difficult to do at these 10k scales but I think it’s essential.
