@NEUnion Why are you recommending anything for a snap poll? Surely, it's an opportunity for teachers to voice their opinion. We all know what happens when you make a recommendation - Teachers will show again they have no respect for themselves or their profession, like the rest of society
I really enjoyed several bits - e.g. the heavy metal/theatre section, the celebration of gender parity, the parkour creature, Dionysus, the mechanical horse, lighting the balloon and of course Celine! 🥰 #Paris2024#OpeningCeremony
@rhiannonev More importantly, why would you want to put your child through private education? Save the money and spend it on their extortionate university costs.
I am so grateful to have this wonderful cover.
How moving to unwrap and hold the book in my hands after all the work of writing and the work of the fantastic production team. Great to share parts of book today with a lovely group. @RoutledgeHist@routledgebooks
This Saturday we are excited to host a Pre-Raphaelite Society Lecture:
‘The Face of a Woman and the Modern Pre-Raphaelites’, @bmi1854, The Birmingham and Midland Institute, Sat 13th April 2024 given by @Alice_Eden4.
@ITimbrell@NEUnion The government continually try to take away our right to strike. As such, we are only legally allowed to strike on pay. NEU continue to campaign on working conditions, workload, funding, etc. Also, teacher pay in England is a travesty and needs major attention.
Members of the @NEUnion who voted have overwhelmingly backed taking strike action over pay and funding in an indicative ballot held this month. https://t.co/GcgxXKLLJd
This graph tells the story of how teacher pay has fallen against inflation since 2010.
A possible pathetic 1% pay rise is a complete disgrace!
VOTE NOW for a fully funded, inflation-plus pay rise & demand the funds our schools desperately need. #PayUp24
Ballot closes at 4pm❗
BREAKING🚨
