@ploguey@Simonh3333@The_GA Hi Paul, sorry not directly related to this post but on your blog you mentioned the regular use of knowledge quizzes, what do you use to put these together and what is the best platform for using them? Thanks!
@lcgeography Do students have to be logged in to their arcgis account or can survey123's be shared with anyone with the link? Sure I've tried without them logging in before and it never seems to work!
@kate_stockings Hi Kate, an old post but saw this reading one of your blogs, do you still have these? Really appreciate a copy, [email protected] , TIA!
Any websites with factfiles and banks of information on recent extreme weather events in the UK? Wildfires, flooding, drought, extreme cold, tornadoes, storms? #Geography#geographyteacher
Interactive mapping for students to explore request! Gapminder seems the only user friendly website which contains lots of data but the bubbles don't really show the data very well, can it be changed to choropleth instead? #geographyteacher#Geography@Gapminder
Contemporary twitter question: why does it automatically skip to the very top of the feed? I want it to stay where I last opened twitter and scroll to the top to see the tweets I haven't read, anyone help?
Moving to a new school in September - I've only taught AQA A level geog physical topics, but will now be teaching Edexcel Human topics! Hit me with your best tips / websites / webinars & ways to get familiar with the spec & the topics! #Geography#geographyteacher#edexcel
@kate_stockings I hope I do but I seem a bit lost currently! Trying to match the spec with the lessons I've been given is difficult (is everything covered?), the best way to sequence the spec, long time since I learnt about human & no familiarity with exam q's & guidance on answer structure!
#geographyteacher request: I'm sure I had a website / bank of resources of geography documentaries categorised and ready to watch? Anyone remember the name?
@DanFitzTweets The D-ID pricing seems pretty hefty, are you paying for a plan? Are there alternative free versions available or using a different website?
Slightly late to the party but #ChatGPT really is a game changer for teaching and model answers - generated this answer below, slight amendments to link to case study specifics and ready to use in a lesson in less than a minute! #geographyteacher
My school runs a department-by-department showcase event a couple of times each year. Any ideas? We've done landscape in a box this year, can be challenge for students to do / show off something or tech based, quizzes, any creative ideas really? Thanks! #geographyteacher
@EduCaiti Would be happy to as ours are outdated, just a shame this year I'm not teaching Y12 - currently eyjafjallajokull 2010, Haiti EQ 2010, Hurricane Sandy 2012 and Haiyan 2013, Alberta WF 2016. Would be great to mind-meld and see what resources work best, then find best case studies
