The Path To the Truth Is A Long Varied One Full Of Smoke & Mirrors. The 'World' is not a good place. Your best Goal is to Seek Truth & follow the Golden Rule.
#karlpopper would be great to have around now in 2021 .He would have much to say about our leadership During #covid19 but more importantly on Govts responses and Media seemingly intertwined. The NZ media should read Popper’s wise words, and be more critical i.e anti authoritarian
I honestly don’t understand the point of life sometimes.
I wake up.
Go to work.
Come home exhausted.
Sleep.
Repeat.
Then payday comes.
Rent.
Groceries.
Bills.
Insurance.
Debt.
And suddenly, another paycheck is gone.
I’m working just to afford the life that gives me enough energy to keep working.
Is it the same with you?
If you date a woman has a close knit 'girl group' who are all unhappy in relationships/single/divorced @ unwilling to self reflect, work on themselves - you are toast. Her friends want her to stay miserable @ she wants to make them happy to stay in the toxic group. A sad reality

Remember when we did that in the U.S.? Made our scientists rockstars?
Ignore me at your peril billionaires:
We *MUST* cut our own scientists into “the upside” that they created.
“Capitalists” are giving the golden goose to Communists in China. This is madness.
Mark my words.
@TheConsultant18 usual suspects then. The weird thing is how many that go nuts are older men. You'd think they'd mellow out a bit with age. I blame the glorification of 'Jake the Muss'
@Mike__Pole We are out of that cold snap though. But then "antarctic blast season" is coming soon too Aug/September has some wild @ windy weather. I prefer the cold tho. The warmth makes me feel jittery
Interesting construction/ Aussie economy news: "Bathla" in Aussie (one of the biggest standard house builders) voluntarily administration. This was a good summary of it @ it's wider complications. Australia economy looks shaky @ I think they use mass immigration to cover it up
Well to clarify Dunedin is propped up not by the private sector but by Govt funding/Tax spend on Otago University and the associated 2nd order consumption of that money zipping around
I feel the econ is wobbling big-time. It's supposedly good in C. Otago but I think for private sector it's mostly just on idle outside Queenstown @ Dunedin. If it wasn't for old people's pensions filtering around and a few govt paychecks here and there we would be in recession
@ajthompson13 And the reserve bank cash rate' just went up too. Purse strings are tight. Businesses have to decide to go on idle or ramp up sales/advertising etc. Both have associated micro and macro risks. Eg if all construction puts Itself on idle then you get mass layoffs etc
