As a second time founder, I’m often asked, “What are you doing differently this time around at Firmable?”
A few months ago, I gave this question some serious thought. I started jotting down some ideas, and before long I had a whole page of scribbles.
I thought of many things I would do (and we are doing) differently. But I also wrote down several hard earned lessons from Aconex - about things I would keep exactly the same.
I wanted to share some of these thoughts with founders in my community and in the startup ecosystem - so others can learn from my experiences and mistakes.
Starting from today, I’ll be sharing some of these lessons via short video clips. They cover a range of topics - from what to look for when hiring salespeople, to how to set up a go-to-market function for success, to traits I’ve observed in the best founders.
I’ll start with one of my biggest learnings from multiple startup journeys - the importance of making mistakes.
Please let me know in the comments what you think of this content, and what you’d like to hear me talk about!

@drpete00@AUSOlympicTeam @SamGrothMP It also goes against Parliament’s rules about using props. Although, in Sam’s case, he probably needs propping up.
