Tested out making some Cheese Scones using the recipe I stole from @travkitchen during the @Locallearning2 Hill fields event.
Turned out pretty well for our first attempt ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ
S4 Chemistโs using @SPBeale Tetris Tussle for some #retrievalpractice before their assessments begin. Could not have predicted how competitive they would be! @Chem_KinrossHS
As a huge Tolkein fan there is a line that is really resonating with me at the moment.
"I feel thin, sort of stretched, like butter scraped over too much bread."
In 12 years of teaching i've never felt this stretched. We will get through it if we help each other when in need.
My Y11 is full of super bright girls whose confidence with terminology/concepts has taken a knock. Seeing this dip has plagued my mind! To help, I've made a Terminology Tick List that's highlighted only when they're secure with the term/concept and able to recall. #historyteacher
@MrHodgeTeaches @EvansHistory It is hard to explain, picture cluedo but you deduce the suspect place and weapon through a series of unique picture cards given to you!!

@historybookgrp For me it had to be education. Learning how so many of the authors were barely taught yet had the self discipline and determination to learn how to write illustrated the necessary attributes during this period to suceed. #HTBC
@historybookgrp The deskilling and break down of apprenticeship traditions is a great example how industrialisation allowed for the poorer families a chance to gain better income and a small chance of social mobility
@historybookgrp These biographies could be used to show how different life was between urban and rural areas but also used to show how some people benefitted from the cultural and social changes taking place!
