@Welnesschick@psymonbee@dave_mcpartlin Give me a brief outline of what you’re on about? You seem passionate about it so you should be happy to try and educate me about your view?
@WapleKatie Hi Katie. If you wrote this article that was published today, please can you follow me back so I can send you a photo from today rather than one from 2023? Many thanks.

The government’s announcement on the teacher pay offer for September still falls short. A pay award that isn’t fully funded means more cuts to staff and resources. Schools deserve better.

The govt not fully funding the teachers pay rise means schools will have to make cuts.
@DanielKebedeNEU from the @NEUnion is right, education needs investment (not cuts).
.@DanielKebedeNEU, chatted to BBC Breakfast on day 1 of #NEU2025:
“There is a wealth in the economy to ensure that our teachers and support staff are paid fairly, that our schools are properly funded so they're no longer crumbling and that our children have the education that they deserve. We hope that this government will invest in education and our children.”
This attack on Daniel Kebede in the Sunday Times is very much a piece with the attack on Matt Wrack in the Guardian last week.
Both are accused of being “militants” out of touch with the members of the NEU or NASUWT.

Our indicative ballot on Pay/Funding is closed
93.7% REJECT the Govts 2.8% pay recomendation with 83.4% willing to take strike action
A huge well done to our reps and members
The message to government is clear: To save our schools & address the R&R crisis - fund fair pay!
@WorldBollard thought you’d like to see the variety on offer outside a Reading @Tesco Store.
Not 1. Not 2. But 6 different varieties of bollard, pretty much in a row 😮 🥰 #diversity
Laura Cripps, the Director of Pedagogy and Practice from @GLFSchools delivered an engaging keynote focusing on belonging and mattering through vocabulary mastery 👏 #METConf#teammaidenerlegh#TeamMET
I read this article, and then read the reactions to it, and wonder why they are so extreme. I then remember that culture warriors use manufactured outrage to attempt to silence legitimate questions of the status quo - in this case about the current curriculum.
