Oh please. Homeschooling in a nutshell, is doing things with kids all week that working parents do with them on weekends, and calling it education.
Going to a farm, to soft play, to the library, to the park, is not education…it’s needy mums, that can’t be away from their kids.
@ZillennialApple@JamesAFurey Well, I didn't say or imply that. Again, you're inventing something to be upset about. I understand that you're inferring that from my tweet. Fine. I'm telling you explicitly that it isnt what I said, inferred or intended. Hope that clears it up.
@ZillennialApple@JamesAFurey This is silly...for the third time, I'm saying this is just my observation from being in schools for 25+ years. I am not making some data based claim in the comment section of Twitter. I'm perfectly happy to accept you're doing the same when you make a statistical statement.
@CoachDanGo I don't believe football players need to spend hours in the weight room doing exercises that they'll never use during a game. See how silly that sounds?
@ZillennialApple@JamesAFurey No. I said up front i was just making observations about kids with rough lives. You made a statistical claim. I leave it one of the poorest counties and one of the poorest states in the country. I'm just telling you my anecdotal, observational experience.
@ZillennialApple@JamesAFurey ...and I didn't think I was being progressive, regressive, conservative or any other label that folks can't resist. I'm just giving my observation as a parent and educator for the last 25 years. Hungry, anxious kids often rely on school for stability.
