Why would we ever trust a government that is currently bailing out the banks (106 billion currently). I've been pulling myself up by my bootstrap since '08 without our government's help.

Also, in the end youth has to supplement edu. to get an actual job. Why add more to that?! Leave our youth alone and fix our current system

Since we are blind to the firmware, you must trust that they don't alter firmware in a negative way. The very reason I didn't get @Ledger (BT can also be another attack vector)
