New: 21-Year-Old Charged in Triple Shooting on Indy’s Northwest Side After Using Glock Switch and Rifle

On September 20, 2025, in Indianapolis, 21-year-old Carlos Contreras opened fire on multiple people using a Glock equipped with a switch and a Draco rifle.

Contreras fled the scene and crashing during a police pursuit.

One victim was shot in the right foot but managed to run toward a nearby gas station.

Two other victims survived the incident despite suffering multiple gunshot wounds.

According to court documents, one of the victims sustained a total of 11 injuries as a result of the shooting.

He faces three counts of attempted murder, two aggravated battery, battery by deadly weapon, machine gun possession, criminal recklessness, and resisting law enforcement.
