@edankwan Yess ! Yugop 💚
And I remember your Flash portfolio quite well also :)

@blackspikeltd Thanks for sharing !

@yugop Brings some Flash experiments vibes back 💜

Problem: Git pre-commit hooks are slow, which is annoying when I commit frequently.

Solution: Skip them like this:

git commit -m “message here” -n

The -n disables the pre-commit hook. 😎

This book is *brilliant*.

It goes straight into my list of reading recommendations for engineers who want to dig deeper into API development.

I learned something from every chapter, even the topics I thought I was familiar with.

I was laid off from @useshortcut on Wednesday. I'm now on the job hunt.

Not to go all LinkedIn, but I think I'm pretty great. I build safe, happy engineering teams that deliver well, from infra to product. Know of anyone looking for directors, senior EMs, or EMs? Let's talk!

⚛️ React tip: for most forms, you don't need useState()... or any hooks at all! You can read form data directly from the form by element name:

Object.fromEntries(new FormData(formEl));

You don't even need a form library most of the time.

@mupsigraphy @platformsh Wooow, amplement mérité! Bravo a toi!

[André Staltz @andrestaltz]

I've been doing small PRs for the past year, and sometimes stacked PRs and I highly recommend this practice. Optimize to reduce friction to review and merge.

@jaffathecake I created this effect for https://t.co/xywYfUH6jV , but reading this thread, it seems like I didn't opt for a simple implementation :) https://t.co/Ir4qbz5LZY

Congrats on mastering prototypical inheritance before shipping your first website but legitimately no one cares.

Have fun and make cool shit. I’m glad you’re joining our industry.
