a thing that sucks is that like when suicides happen we want to find simple advice to give people for helping their depressed friends but no one thing works for everyone
not everyone will reach out. not everyone wants to be reached out TO.
(TW: Suicidal ideation and depression) Not sure what to say about this but I think other Sarah put this into words so well. It doesn’t matter how deafening the Noise gets, it always seems *not loud enough to count* so instead I isolate more and push away the people I love most https://t.co/w6tPcR3QBz
So, a little while ago I talked to a reporter from Indianapolis Monthly about what happened with MWW. He wrote an incredibly thoughtful sum-up of the situation and honestly I'm kind of crying https://t.co/wJ8BNZXWLE
@sarahhollowell Maybe you could get a group of people together to organize a gathering of these writer types from around the surrounding states to hang out and write things and talk and learn from one another. Like a workshop for writers from the midwest... I bet people would show up :)
I 100% support arming teachers:
Arm them with higher salaries, smaller classes, more supplies, meals for their students, better benefits...
Not with guns.
You know, when I said I wanted the real world to be more like Harry Potter I just meant the teleportation and the magic stuff, not the entire plot of book 5 where the government refuses to do anything about a deadly threat so the teenagers have to rise up and fight back.
I AM SCREAMING
Walked into my kids bathroom and I almost died laughing.
It’s possible my daughter is spending too much time playing #Sims on her winter break...
@sarahhollowell From what I remember he gave the lecture both times, it had just gotten better by the time you came around since he was literally 3yrs old when I was born
