Our state legislature takes advantage of teachers' dedication to their students and to showing up every damn day, no matter how little they get paid, how big the classes are, and how poorly funded the schools are. NC teachers aren't going to take it anymore. Watch out.

Our country depends on them having the resources to do their job well.

@tomwatson Yes & DC/Puerto Rico should be states, & automatic voter registration should be nationwide, & voting day should be a national holiday, & the number of House seats should follow the Wyoming Rule. The only cure-all for what ails us is a democracy that is actually representative.

@tomwatson Definitely don't disagree about the EC. I think a better solution to fair representation would be if the SC would protect the power of the individual vote by deeming partisan gerrymandering unconstitutional. Congressional delegations MUST be better representative of their states.
