“ To get what you want, you have to deserve what you want”. “ The world is not a crazy enough place to reward a whole bunch of undeserving people”. Charlie munger.
I got fired from my job at 33.
I was a high performer and was exceeding my KPIs. I thought I had nothing to worry about.
Here's 8 things I wish someone had told me sooner:
1. Never trust a boss
Prime Bottomline Ventures x GRG Gen Nxt presents LaunchPad 2026. A pitch competition for AI & AgriTech startups. Cash prizes, mentorship, investor intros.
There’s a particular kind of fear that only a parent knows. The fear that comes watching your child choose a life you can’t quite protect them.
Vinayak is an engineer by education. He was in product, good at his job, well liked and adding value. Everything about it looked right from where I stood: Security, salary, work place etc.
But he felt that he didn’t fit. Not as a complaint but a quiet truth. He didn’t like the closed spaces, the stillness and the daily routine.
On a family holiday, he took to deep sea diving. He went back again, to the same diving site. He learnt. He trained. And he started interning with them and helping tourists. He would check the oxygen cylinders, give demos, instructions. And he soon got certification as a deep sea diving instructor.
And one fine day, he announced that he is quitting from his corporate life. He went abroad and learnt more. And more. And more. He trained. Got every certification - On diving, surviving etc.
He is now a deep sea diving instructor, working in Indonesia. He earls less than half the pay, carries cylinders, spends long hours underwater, lives without the comforts I spent a career trying to provide. No AC room. Not even a wash basin in his room. No safety net.
He is happy. Underwater, undercompensated, and, by every real measure, more himself than he ever was in that office.
My fear hasn’t fully gone. I don’t think it’s meant to. He didn’t need me to protect him from this choice. He needed me to trust that he knew himself better than I did. That’s the harder thing to learn, as a parent: sometimes love means stepping back and letting someone be honest, brave and trusted.
I am proud. He had the courage that I didn’t have. He gave up comforts and chose what his heart said. He trained. Learnt. He was happy to be a subordinate than be the promoters son. He chose the difficult path. The not so treaded path. He is happy. And I am proud.
Happy birthday Vinayak.
Aveiro is the Portugal people miss when they only talk about Lisbon and Porto.
Canals cut through the city, painted boats drift past Art Nouveau buildings, and the striped houses of Costa Nova sit just minutes away.
Ok Bangalore Twitter need help.
My cousin is undergoing cancer treatment at HCG (near Mission Road).
He needs blood donations and we have exhausted our family members.
If anyone is willing to donate please ping me - I will share details. Any blood group is fine - the hospital just needs replacement.
(Please RT for karma. We need as much blood as possible)
It’s been a minute.

Today
CRED is ready for its next phase. I am stepping back and @miten steps in as interim CEO, partnered with an incredibly talented team. He has been heading strategy and finance and suffering me since 2020. I’m stepping away from the operating role and will continue as a shareholder. My commitment doesn’t change. Just the role.
Extremely grateful to our members, partners, regulators, and investors who made this possible. And to our board, Shailendra, Micky, Saurabh for their extraordinary conviction.
Team CRED, I’ll still expect you to be a 10x version of yourselves.
As for me, I’ll be joining Meta to lead WhatsApp globally.
Meta comes in as a minority investor in CRED. No access to member data.
While it’s come very far, the delta between WhatsApp today and its full potential is massive. I look forward to working with Mark, Chris, and the leadership across Meta for the next step in WhatsApp’s journey. Will, thank you for scaling something the world relies on quietly, and for making this transition smooth.
Onwards.
What we don't do:

✗ Vanity-metric businesses
✗ ₹50 Cr cheques in disguise
We're not the right fund for some founders. That's a feature.
Shameless dynasty politics and its justification, even by the literate, rational people was unbearable.
This curse has been lifted, regardless of whatever the new comer is/will be capable of
Pandey is trying to escape the situation by blaming it on all the other surveys that went wrong 😂😂😂
He could have simply said he shouldn't have gotten personal about it and uttered words like "விஜய் பத்து சீட் ஜெயிச்சுட்டா நான் அரசியல் பேசுவதையே நிறுத்தி விடுவேன்"
Then other analysts and survey teams did not utter stuff like that. But @RangarajPandeyR did. He needs to regret it. Journalists and analysts should never get personal about predictions and reporting.
