Using an iPhone 17 Pro, he ventured deep into the mountains without a predetermined theme—simply following his instincts and experience. Through a carefully arranged combination of close-up, wide-angle, and standard focal lengths, he captured the ethereal beauty of Taiwan’s forests, making them look like a true fairytale.

Happy 50th Anniversary to Canada’s iconic CN Tower!

Today marks the 50th birthday of Toronto’s most famous landmark — the #CNTower! 🥳Opened on June 26, 1976, the 553-metre (1,815 ft) tower instantly became the #tallest freestanding structure in the world and held that record for 31 years. It remains a powerful symbol of Canadian engineering ambition and creativity, and continues to welcome millions of visitors each year who ride up to enjoy the breathtaking views of the city and Lake #Ontario.

Although the CN Tower is classified as a freestanding structure rather than a traditional building, it shares a special link with #Taipei101. While the CN Tower held the title of the world’s tallest freestanding structure for decades, Taipei 101 was the world’s tallest building from 2004 to 2009. Two iconic towers — one representing
Canada 🇨🇦, one representing Taiwan 🇹🇼 — both once stood as global symbols of height and ambition!

Indigenous Culture Month: Taiwan-Canada Connection Part 2 🇹🇼🇨🇦

Taiwan and Canada’s Indigenous peoples share a deep resonance in historical experiences and cultural identity. In recent years, artistic exchanges between the two sides have flourished. Taiwanese Indigenous artists have exhibited and performed in Canada, while joint exhibitions have created vibrant contemporary art dialogues.

Highlights include the recent Kavalan Collection Research Project at the ROM and a major exhibition featuring over 30 Canadian Indigenous artists hosted by the Shung Ye Museum of Formosan Aborigines.

Indigenous Culture Month: Taiwan-Canada Connection Part 1 🇹🇼🇨🇦
Yesterday marked Canada’s National Indigenous Peoples Day. Across the country and in Toronto, vibrant cultural events celebrated the rich cultures and histories of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.

The Canadian government places great importance on Indigenous policies and views Taiwan as a key partner. In 2022, both sides signed the Indigenous Peoples Economic and Trade Cooperation Arrangement (IPETCA), enabling businesses and communities in Taiwan and Canada to collaborate and strengthen bilateral ties. On the path of healing historical trauma, Canada has courageously confronted issues of historical justice and transitional justice for Indigenous peoples. 🖤❤️🤍💛

And Taiwan continues to work hard through legislation and government initiatives to build a society of mutual respect and shared progress.
🟠In 2001, the Indigenous Peoples Status Act was passed, shifting identity recognition to a basis of ancestry and self-identification to protect their rights.
🟠In 2005, the Indigenous Peoples Basic Law was enacted, fully legalizing Indigenous autonomy, land rights, and cultural & educational rights.
🟠In 2007, the Protection Act for the Traditional Intellectual Creations of Indigenous Peoples was passed, pioneering the concept of “collective rights” to safeguard rituals, patterns, and traditional knowledge.
🟠In 2016, the President formally apologized on behalf of the government to Indigenous peoples and established the Indigenous Historical Justice and Transitional Justice Committee.
🟠In 2017, the Indigenous Languages Development Act was passed, officially designating Indigenous languages as “national languages” and fully implementing language education in schools.
